Thoranai music and movie review :

If you’re a Vishal fan who ardently expected for an extraordinary film after the terrifying flop show of his ‘Satyam’, harden your hearts. ‘Thoranai’ is again a great disappointment from Vishal who doesn’t make up for his flaws from his yesteryear films.

With his attempts of gratifying Telugu audiences, he has failed to focus on the native centres. In no way the film is entertaining other than Santhanam’s portions adding to the humor quotients.

If you’ve made up your mind of watching this film, there are certain things to follow and they are quite hard indeed. There are whole lots of punch dialogues that even a frontbencher of C centre would not appreciate about.

On the pars, there are much irritating factors like everyone brimmed with punch dialogues and better producers could’ve promoted the film on COUNT THE PUNCH DIALOGUES.

Because, it’s not just Vishal coming up with punch dialogues, but even Prakash Raj and Kishore. Everyone has been yelling out in theatres for the unending issues of this sort. Oh! The messing part is overdosed stunts of a guy fighting against 30 men at the same time.

The film is loaded with much of these deplorable quotients that will make you feel hell breaking loose out of your roofs. Undoubtedly, the theatres went half empty much before the climax during first show of release.

Murugan (Vishal) arrives in Chennai in search of his lost brother Ganesh only to find get clashed accidentally with City’s dangerous gang leaders Tamizharasan (Prakash Raj) and Guru (Kishore). Residing in his friend’s (Santhanam), he comes across a beautiful girl (Shriya Charan).

But, every step he takes closer to his lost brother, pressures are more from Tamizharasan and Guru, who are dead against each other indeed. At a point, he has to get down on settling scores between everyone. But he’s unaware that one amongst the two gangsters is none other than his lost brother.

As mentioned earlier, Vishal doesn’t try anything new on his part. He has strictly followed the traits of his previous films that actually don’t help him in anyway. Put an end to illogical elements Vishal.

Director Saba Ayyappan commits the same flaws that most of the commercial filmmakers have done. Chasing in jeeps and suddenly getting down on the streets for a run, hero entering just like that into the homes of gangsters and ministers are something really annoying.

Shriya Charan should take a break and better take lessons on how to choose a right script and undergo training at school of acting. It’s just Prakash Raj and Kishore who add to the gripping treatment to certain extent.
Vishal looks odd as he attempts for comedy quotients and Santhanam scores the best on many occasions. Musical score by Manisharma is pathetic and not even off mediocre while cinematography and editing are slightly convincing.

On the whole, Thoranai isn’t exceeding anyone’s expectations and has no probabilities of sustaining in box office more than a week.
